WORKSHOPS
There is something really special about making creative choices with your own home in mind.
Whether you are crafting a bespoke lampshade or joining one of my interior design courses, my workshops are designed to help you feel inspired, supported and more confident in your own style.
These sessions are warm, hands on and welcoming, with plenty of encouragement along the way. You do not need any previous experience, just an interest in interiors, creativity and making something personal.
LAMPSHADE WORKSHOPS
If you adore interior styling and want to break free from run of the mill chain store offerings, it is time to learn a new skill.
In my lampshade workshops, you will create a beautiful bespoke piece for your home while enjoying a relaxed and creative experience. Alongside learning the practical process, you will also gain insight into textiles, interiors and how to express yourself more confidently through design.
I would love for you to join me for a creative and holistic workshop where we craft either a lampshade for your bedside table, a larger floor lamp or a ceiling pendant.
Expect a friendly atmosphere, a glass of bubbly, hot drinks, biscuots and plenty of guidance throughout.
No experience required, and plenty of fun guaranteed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You will learn how to make a rolled edge drum lampshade in your preferred size, from 15cm to 40cm in diameter.
These workshops are suitable for complete beginners. Every step is carefully explained and demonstrated, along with the shortcuts, finer techniques and professional tips that will help take your lampshade from homemade to beautifully finished.
Simply bring along your chosen fabric and I will supply the materials, tools and expert guidance to help you create your finished lampshade to take home.

WORKSHOP OPTIONS
SMALL LAMPSHADE WORKSHOP
Bring personality into your bedroom or living space by crafting your own small lampshade, either 15cm or 20cm in diameter. Perfect for bedside lamps, narrow hallways, dark corners or anywhere that needs a little brightening.
LARGE LAMPSHADE WORKSHOP
Create a handcrafted ceiling lampshade for your home, available in 30cm diameter, or 40cm with an additional top up fee. This is a lovely option if you want to make more of a statement and explore your interior style with guidance from an experienced designer.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You will need to bring your chosen fabric for the lampshade.
Firm cotton fabric usually works best, but if you are unsure whether your fabric is suitable, please email me at info@hannahredden.co.uk and I will happily advise.
The amount of fabric needed will depend on the size of lampshade you are making. Full sizing details are included on each individual workshop event page.

YOUR OWN EVENT WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS
If you would like to book a private workshop with a group of friends, I would be delighted to help.
Gather your group for a creative and enjoyable experience making lampshades or learning Interior design foundations together, and we can arrange a date and location that suits you.
It is a lovely option for birthdays, celebrations, team get togethers or simply an excuse to do something different together.

Workshop Terms & Conditions:
I keep my workshop sizes relatively small, in order that I can give everyone the attention that they need during the course. For that reason, I am unable to offer refunds on any bookings made for my workshops.

Please do not attend if you are unwell. If you are unwell and are unable to come you have two options:

You can transfer your booking to another person (Please email me the name of your replacement) OR
-
You can choose to receive one Lampshade Making craft kit (includes all parts and detailed instructions, you just need your desired fabric).

When there are less than 7 days to go I don’t provide refunds but please contact me if you would like to send a friend in your place.

If you cancel within two weeks (two weeks or less) before the workshop date you have two options:

You can transfer your booking to another person OR
-
You can choose to receive one Lampshade Making craft kits (includes all parts and detailed instructions, you just need you desired fabric).

If Hannah has to cancel the workshop she will offer you a transfer to a future workshop OR a refund.
