LAMPSHADE WORKSHOPS
If you adore interior styling and want to break free from run of the mill chain store offerings, it’s time to learn a new skill at a workshop. You'll leave with a stunning bespoke item that you created, alongside access to a wealth of expertise and insight into textiles, interiors and advice on how to express yourself through design.
I’d love for you to join me in a creative and holistic workshop, where we’ll work together to craft either a lampshade for your bedside table, for a larger floor lamp or a ceiling pendant.
It’s an opportunity to explore your passion for design while sharing an enriching experience, complete with a glass of bubbly, selection of hot drinks and some delicious treats to enjoy. No experience required, and plenty of fun guaranteed!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will spend the course learning how to make a rolled edge drum lampshade of your preferred size (15cm - 40cm in diameter). The course is suitable for complete beginners as all steps will be carefully explained and demonstrated, along with all the shortcuts, finer techniques and advice that will take your lampshade from amateur to professional!
Simply bring along your own choice fabric and I will supply the materials needed and the guidance to help you make your own creation to take home. I also offer the option to pre-order additional lampshade kits, please email if you should wish to make more at home.
THE SPECIFICS
SMALL LAMPSHADE WORKSHOP
Bring your personality into your bedroom or living space by crafting your own small
lampshade - 15cm or 20cm in diameter - perfect for bedside table lamps, narrow hallways,
dark corners or anywhere in need of brightening.
LARGE LAMPSHADE WORKSHOP
Elevate your home with a handcrafted ceiling lampshade (30cm in diameter or 40cm with an
additional top-up fee, email Hannah directly if you'd like to go larger), and explore your interior design skills with an expert designer.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You'll need to bring your choice of fabric to make the lampshade. Firm cotton fabric works best, but if you are unsure if yours is suitable, email info@hannahredden.co.uk for further advice and recommendations.
The quantity and size of the fabric required will depend upon the size of the lampshade being made in your workshop. Fabric sizing details are given in the individual event page.
YOUR OWN EVENT WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS
Get a group of friends together and learn how to make a beautiful lampshade. I will be happy to discuss arranging a date for you and your group at a location of your choice.

Workshop Terms & Conditions:
I keep my workshop sizes relatively small, in order that I can give everyone the attention that they need during the course. For that reason, I am unable to offer refunds on any bookings made for my workshops.

Please do not attend if you are unwell. If you are unwell and are unable to come you have two options:

You can transfer your booking to another person (Please email me the name of your replacement) OR
-
You can choose to receive one Lampshade Making craft kit (includes all parts and detailed instructions, you just need your desired fabric).

When there are less than 7 days to go I don’t provide refunds but please contact me if you would like to send a friend in your place.

If you cancel within two weeks (two weeks or less) before the workshop date you have two options:

You can transfer your booking to another person OR
-
You can choose to receive one Lampshade Making craft kits (includes all parts and detailed instructions, you just need you desired fabric).

If Hannah has to cancel the workshop she will offer you a transfer to a future workshop OR a refund.
