Combining the old with the new defines my work. Using my expert network of local traders and craftsman, I am able to source unique vintage and antique treasures; carefully restoring, reinventing or upcycling my finds to create covetable one-off pieces that will bring your space to life and transform how you see it. It gives me huge pleasure to cultivate beauty where it has been overlooked; and to help the environment by preventing unnecessary landfill in the process.
From a straight-forward consultation to mastering a bold living room colour scheme or helping you translate your ideas for your dream kitchen into reality, I can guide you to concepts and solutions more creative and striking than you ever imagined. I want to encourage confidence in your interior design decisions – helping you to build a home you will enjoy for years to come.
Let me take away the stress of designing and furnishing your interior. To find out more about how I can help you, have a look at the services I offer or get in touch for an informal chat about your project.
I’m Hannah; an interior and textile designer with a passion for colour, texture and reinvention. With decades of design experience, I create practical, beautiful spaces which enhance my clients’ experience of living. In other words; inspiring interiors that work in the real world.
After graduating from The Glasgow School of Art with a degree in Textile Design, I spent time travelling through India and Morocco; soaking up the vibrant use of colour and honing my craft, before returning to the UK in 2006 to complete a Diploma in Interior Design and launch my business.
Now based in the buzzing creative hub of Bristol (where I live with my partner, Dan, and our two girls), I provide a professional, personalised interiors service; with each project a collaborative partnership between myself and my client. Renovating three of my own homes has given me first-hand experience of what it feels like to part with your hard-earned cash and take a leap into the unknown. However big or small the budget, understanding my clients’ needs, appreciating their tastes and earning their trust is at the heart of everything I do.
I believe that now, more than ever, we have a duty to be conscious of what we buy, discard and recycle. By incorporating antiques and vintage, and by restoring and reinventing, I champion sustainable interior design that’s kind to our planet – creating characterful, unique spaces and protecting the environment in the process.
My mission is to create inviting, functional spaces which shape my clients’ lives for the better. Incorporating my love and knowledge of textiles, colour, craft, and vintage, I aim to build richly layered interiors with real meaning and feeling - interiors that tell the story of their people.
Envisioning the lives of the people who inhabit an interior; understanding their needs, discovering what inspires them and earning their trust, is essential to my work. Each project I undertake is a collaborative partnership between myself and my client, guided by a personal approach.
I am proud to say my business is both socially and environmentally responsible; supporting local craftsmen, communities, and charities (read more here) as well as continually striving to work in the most eco-conscious way possible. I passionately believe that great design doesn’t have to cost the earth, and should be available for everyone to enjoy, not only an elite few.
